This House Is Not For Sale

Morning drive to Peoria meditations. Memories of recent years, struggles and blessings. My mind wandered to the road to Emmaus, after Christ's crucifixion when two disciples were heading to Emmaus. Their savior was gone, and didn't fully know what just happened. They were expecting a saviour for life events, from Rome, etc. We all encounter similar roads in our lives. We don't see Christ walking with us at times; we feel alone, uncertain of what to do. We need God's grace to guide us on this path. We need Christ to open our understanding of scripture. We might be seeking a saviour from our personal Romans in life, such as health, wealth, the loss of loved ones, and life's challenges.

Believers need to hear God saying "... I am with you" when they are on their "road to Emmaus", as their hope might be in God fulfilling their physical needs or carrying out their desires. God provides, but according to His will and timing. Our hope, peace, and joy should not rely on our circumstances or being rescued from them.

During my drive to Peoria, I also recalled in scriptures the part of the verse "... But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD (Joshua 24:15)".

Our home has already been sold, already bought through Christ blood. Our spiritual battles have already been won.

When under attack I tend to focus on my biggest asset, house equity. Need fix this up, ready for sale. World assets. I need focus on my biggest asset....God. I tend think I need fix this aspect in my life, which may be true. I need turn to Christ immediately, not try to paint my house, repair my house first in my own spiritual strength which is nothing.

Help believers to hear God saying "... I am with you" when they are on that road to Emmaus. Help unbelievers to hear God's words in Ezekiel ...turn ye ... turn ye for why would you die, when they are on another road going the wrong direction. Let them know there is hope. Let them know the greatest gift ever given is with us. The Holy Spirit is in believers and the spirit calls the unbelievers.

Psalm 100:4 journey. We say praise God, we sing praises to God. In this Psalm to God, we don't realize how we praise God, we like to say the words as if there will be some physical blessings. When we set our hearts to praise God, God will bring us to his courts (trials). Will we come into his courts saying I am innocent like Job, how will we do. Why me Lord song. God wants to true praise...our house serve the Lord. God wants world to see how we do in trial. Who do we turn to. We are not there to convince the judge like Job wanted to. We are there to show the world we seek after God, we turn to God for grace
