Ezekiel - Rough Draft
Are we watching for Christ's return like investors watch the stock market daily? Is his return valued like we value our investments? Do we watch with an expectation of his return? Let us watch for Christ return by looking into Ezekiel's prophecies.
Who Was Ezekiel?
He was a priest (Eze. 1:3)who was taken captive by Babylon King Nebuchadnezzar. It is also believed that he was taken captive several years after Daniel. In Ezekiel 1:1, he was in his "...thirtieth year" when he was "among the captives by the river of Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God." He became a prophet and had three visions estimated around 597 B.C. It is believed that he at least knew of Daniel another prophet. Daniel is believed to be a few years younger than Ezekiel, but was taken away captive to Babylon due to being royal blood.
