Praying Man Sculpture

And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. (Jeremiah 29:13).

After returning from our vacation/family visit in the Philippines, my prayers started being answered. I had seen an advertisement on the internet for a "Praying Man Sculpture" for $29.99. It had Jeremiah 29:13 verse on it, along with a man kneeling in prayer. It seemed like a simple token, and I wanted to put it on my desk to be a constant reminder to me to remind me to pray.

As I look back on this verse now (Dec 2023), and see it more fully in context with the preceding verses, the meaning becomes more clear.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. Jeremiah 29:11-12.

Verse 11 was quoted to me in my testimony after being saved. God told me in a personal way his thoughts for me, "... to give me an expected end". God knew my upcoming struggles 15 years ago, and he "expected" how it would end. God knew I would call upon Him, that I would pray unto Him, and he knew he would answer me even before the battles would start 15 years later.

Thank you, God, for preparing my blessings before I even knew you. While I was yet in my sins, thou hast loved me, guided me to have faith in thee, faith in Jesus and his blood. Thy spirit has guided me all my ways. Thank you for being faithful, thank you for providing a way for us all. Amen.
