Not In Vain

And they shall know that I am the Lord, and that I have not said in vain that I would do this evil unto them. (Ezekiel 6:10)

Compare to take God's name in Vain!

Dictionary definition: useless; producing no result.

Therefore: So His Word didn't produce results. Vain

So we shouldn't take Gods name in vain. We pray to God for his name to be useful. We need to pray for certainty. When praying without fully expecting/trusting in God it is using his name in vain.
