Loudspeaker Prayer

Updated: Jan 11

November 14, 2024

At hospital this morning getting a long awaited test on my heart when the Public Announce System starts going off right when nurse bringing me in to test. Couldn't hear her; she would pause waiting until the prayer was over. Thoughts went to, are my prayers this way, do I drown out all the world around me, make my world pause while I pray.

Similar to cellphone distractions, do we let world distract our prayers? It is not that we need to shout when praying, but our mindset needs to be louder than our surrounding world. Maybe that's another reason to go to our closets and pray.

As hospital prayer stopped, nurse said it was first hospital she worked in with Public Announce morning prayers, had to get used to it. I responded, maybe my prayers need to be over loudspeaker, sometimes feels like God doesn't hear me, although I know he does. I know he heard me at my lowest point.

Praise God for hearing us when we are at our lowest, weakest voice. I would like for my voice to be louder than things in my life.
