Moses my servant is dead, now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel. Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as said unto Moses. (Joshua 1:2-3)
These verses are from a church service years ago. Looking through old journals of notes all I had was these 2 verses written down. I wonder now, what they meant to me at that time. As I read them now, keywords jump out at me. Arise, was a powerful guidance I heard last year. It was more like a "Get Up", when I didn't want to. I did arise, and did go only to get knocked back down in my own strength. I found strength in fasting and praying at my weakest point in my life.
Also the "every place .... that the sole of your foot" God has given unto me. These are powerful words when we look through our travels. God has given us the world . Do we see how God empowers us as we travel, or do we think we have it all figured out, it is all our planning, our know how to get around. It is God who protects us. All kinds of things could go wrong in our life.. When we get in our cars, or airplanes. We are not gauranteed we will make it to where we are going safely. We are gauranteed that God is with us.
God I am thankful for thy blessings in my life. Thankful thy directions, when I needed to hear "arise" in my life. Where thou hast blessed me in every where I walk with the soles of my feet that you have given unot me.
